Was Indrani Mukerjea a teenage mother?

Mumbai: With present husband Peter Mukerjea stating he was unaware of Indrani’s past, it is being reported that Sheena and Mikhael Bora were perhaps born out of wedlock when Indrani was a teenager.

Mikhael has threatened to reveal the real reason behind his sister Sheena Bora’s 2012 murder. His mother Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and an old-time driver have been arrested for their alleged role in it. Mikhael has also said their mother introduced them as her siblings. Sheena too, when she came to stay with Indrani after high school, was introduced to Mumbai society as her sister.

Both children grew up in Guwahati with Indrani’s parents. Sheena attended the Disney Land School in the city.

The motive behind the murder is yet unclear. Reports suggest it might be a property dispute, or even because of Indrani’s disapproval of Sheena’s affair with Peter Mukerjea’s son by another wife Rahul or even whether Sheena was threatening to expose her mother over something.

Wife of former STAR India chief Peter Mukerjea, Indrani, was arrested Tuesday after a loyal family driver led the police to her, confessing that he had killed Sheena in 2012 at his employer’s bidding.

Sheena Bora’s body was dumped in the forests of Raigad, nearly 100 kilometres from Mumbai in 2012. The Raigad police had found the body then but could not establish its identity. The Mumbai police joined the dots this week before taking Indrani into custody.
