Students Protest Exam Delays at JITS
JITS students urged JNTUH to conduct pending exams and release results without delay.
Delays in conducting examinations and declaring results at Jayamukhi Institute of Technological and Sciences (JITS), Narsampet, have left students struggling to pursue higher education, apply for jobs, secure scholarships and register for competitive examinations, prompting them to seek the intervention of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH).
Students, along with representatives of various organisations, met JNTUH Rector Prof Damodaram at the university’s Kukatpally campus and submitted a memorandum urging immediate action.
“Several examinations are yet to be conducted, while results of those already held have not been announced due to the negligence of the college management,” said student Varigaddi Chandu, adding that prolonged delays had disrupted academic progress and placed future plans on hold.
They urged JNTUH to conduct all pending examinations and release results without delay so that students do not miss opportunities for admissions, employment, scholarships and competitive tests.
The memorandum also sought a comprehensive inquiry into the functioning of the college management and action against those responsible for the lapses. “We appealed to the university to ensure that our academic year and future prospects are not affected by administrative delays,” said another student, Mekala Narendra.
