DGP Praises CSR Support For YIPS
Telangana DGP C.V. Anand praised CSR support for the Young India Police School after MYK Foundation contributed ₹2 crore towards its construction.
Support for education will leave a lasting impact on society, besides it also works as an investment, Telangana Director General of Police C.V. Anand said on Thursday.
Furthermore, the DGP said it was encouraging to see donors and corporate organisations coming forward under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) to support the construction of the prestigious Young India Police School (YIPS).
“Support extended by the donors for this initiative is a welcome development. A contribution made towards education will always remain valuable to society and continue to benefit generations to come,” Anand added.
The DGP said on the sideline of contribution of `2 crore for the construction of YIPS academic clock at Manchirevula, by MYK Laticrete (MYK foundation). The company’s managing director and vice chairman Murali Yadama handed over `2 crore cheque to Anand at the DGP’s office here on Thursday.
DGP during the programme said the initiative was aimed at providing quality education and better opportunities to the children of police personnel and the general public.
The participation of corporates and other stakeholders would strengthen the project and help create sustainable educational infrastructure, he added.
