German doctor jailed for sedating patients, taking millions of snaps with sex toys

Berlin: A 51-year-old doctor from Germany’s Bavaria was sentenced for 7 years and nine months in jail after a court found him guilty of sedating 12 women patients and taking over a million photos of them with butt-plugs on.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the doctor took photographs of women ranging between the ages 17 and 28 after administering powerful sedatives between 2008 and 2014.

He claimed that he took the photographs as a part of a study that he was working on, but was unable to clarify when questioned about the use of butt-plugs in a study about veins in the pelvic region. He was also not able to show any materials on the study, and claimed that he used the information on his lectures on specialty of veins and treatment of pelvic vein thrombosis.

Though he apologised for talking pictures of his patients without consent, he was not apologetic about the act itself.

The chief public prosecutor informed the court that they had to go through millions of pictures and set up a hotline for the victims to get in touch.
