Plano, Texas: A high school teacher from Texas has been arrested for flirting with her 16-year-old student on Snapchat and having sex with him. She has also been accused of exchanging nude selfies with him and even cancelling her own wedding.
The accused, identified as Alaina Danielle Ferguson, was arrested after a senior student overheard the 16-year-old pupil talking about his teacher.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, Ferguson worked as an Algebra teacher at the Plano Senior High School where she began a relationship with her student.
The teenager with whom she engaged in a sexual relationship had allegedly left his Snapchat username on a test paper. When Ferguson came across his account details on the answer sheet, she contacted him.
Soon after, the two started engaging in a physical relationship including having sex on a park bench in Lewsiville. Ferguson also sent some of her nude selfies to the teenager and even provided alcohol for games of beer pong, turning it into sex sessions.
After her arrest, police said that the accused had sex with her student in her apartment once, when her fiance was out of town. Later, she even called off her wedding as she lost interest in her fiance.
Ferguson also quit the school in October. However, she kept meeting her student regularly and maintained her physical relationship with him.
She has been released on a bond of $100,000 but will have to wear an electronic monitoring device. Her social media accounts have been suspended and she has been barred from using the internet.
