Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton now in neck and neck race

Latest poll shows the two candidates tied at 46 per cent.

Washington: The two presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are tied according to a new poll conducted after the FBI ordered a reinvestigation into Ms Clinton’s email scandal.

The ABC News/ Washington Post poll shows Ms Clinton and Mr Trump both at 46 per cent. Libertarian Gary Johnson is at 3 per cent, Green Party nominee Jill Stein is at 2 per cent, while another 3 per cent are undecided, the poll showed.
However, Mr Trump has an eight-point advantage over Ms Clinton on which candidate is more honest and trustworthy, leading 46 to 38 per cent among likely voters, the Washington Post reported. In September, the two candidates were tied on this measure.

A 59 per cent majority of likely voters disapprove of Ms Clinton’s handling of questions about her use of personal email while secretary of state, according to the poll. But other national polls show the Democrat leading in a range of key battleground states, the Post reported. On Tuesday, Mr Trump was leading Ms Clinton by one percentage point in the ABC News/Washington Post poll. This was the first time he has led in that poll since May.
