The holiday season may be on its last legs and the real world has pretty much pulled in all of us. But perhaps you can extend the party spirit of the New Year by mixing up some special drinks that invoke all the goodness of the holiday season? We got mixologists to do just that and they came up with these winners for you to try at home!
Holiday Punch
Ingredients:
45 ml orange juice
15 ml pineapple juice
3 drops Angostura bitters
45 ml dark rum
A pineapple slice
15 ml amaretto
Method:
Fill a tall glass with ice, the pour in the apple juice, rum, bitters and pineapple juice. Float the amaretto on top and garnish with pineapple slice.
Strawberry Eggnog Ingredients:
1 cup skim milk
10 ml strawberry syrup
1 egg
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp pure vanilla extract
Nutmeg for garnish
Pineapple for garnish
Method:
In an electric blender, pour milk, egg, sugar, vanilla extract with two cubes of ice. Blend until smooth and pour into a tall glass. Add strawberry syrup and sprinkle nutmeg powder on top and garnish with pineapple slice.
