WhatsApp has several new features added lately, and a new one is around the corner. With the ability to share photos and videos, WhatsApp later upped the features of WhatsApp by adding support for certain documents. In addition to sharing files, WhatsApp is also looking at enabling support for animated GIF files. However, this time, WhatsApp is reportedly working on sharing music.

The new feature was spotted and reported by a German website, which posted some screenshots of the said feature. The music sharing feature was spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp, version 2.16.7.254 on iOS.
With this feature, one can select any music stored on the iPhone locally, and a small music player appears in the message box where the music plays. The player includes a red circle with a white musical note. However, since this is in beta phase, we are not sure if this will be the final design. Apart from the music, one can also see the CD cover or album art of the song as a thumbnail.
We are not sure as to when this feature will be released to public.
