Price leaked: Galaxy S9, S9+ to touch Rs 80,000 mark

The Galaxy S9 could be starting at Rs 67,000 while the S9+ could see a price tag close to Rs 80,000.

It’s only a matter of two days before Samsung unveils its Galaxy S9 and S9+ flagship before the world. The world of leaks and rumours has anticipated most of its headlining features, including details about the camera sensor. However, there’s another leak for the S9 and it is the most important one — price.

Mister know-it-all Evan Blass has shared probable price tags for both the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. According to him, the Galaxy S9 could start at a price of 841 euros whereas the bigger Galaxy S9+ could retail for 997 euros. Converting the numbers to Indian currencies will translate approximately Rs 67,000 for the Galaxy S9 and Rs 79,600 for the bigger Galaxy S9+. These prices put it straight up with the Apple iPhone 8 and Google Pixel 2 XL.

If you believe the leaks, then you know that the Galaxy S9 isn’t going to be a major departure from the previous generation S8 in terms of aesthetics and other basic features. The only expected differentiating features from the S8 series will be the upgraded chipset and the rear camera with a variable aperture.

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be unveiled on 25th February before the start of the Mobile World Congress (2018). Stay tuned for all the updates related to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+.
