It has been learnt that Google’s latest Android Nougat (7.0) could be coming to the latest range of Nexus devices as early as August 22, as per new report.
Canadian telecom operator Telus has leaked the dates in its latest software update schedule.
Strengthening the claims of Telus, Android Central has also indicated that Canadian telecom operator had been accurate about the launch date of the Marshmallow update on Nexus devices last year.
If it releases the update for existing Nexus devices, it would be a significant change from the pattern followed by Google where it used to introduce a new OS with the launch a new Nexus device.
Tthe absence of the Nexus 6 from the list comes as a disappointment as received updates with all five developer previews, making it eligible for an update. However, Telus clearly mentioned that all dates are subjected to changes.
