ASUS has been constantly churning out good photography-oriented smartphones and they have rolled out another one on the occasion of World Photography Day. Dubbed as the ASUS Zenfone Zoom S, the smartphone is priced at Rs 26,990 and will compete with premium mid-rangers from the segment.
The Zenfone Zoom series has always been about greater zooming capabilities and the latest one highlights that with its 12MP dual camera unit. The primary sensor has an aperture of f/1.7 which should result in good low-light photography whereas the zoom lens provides 2.3x zoom levels. The sensor is also equipped with Optical Image Stabilisation. The selfie camera is a 13MP unit.
The Zenfone Zoom S is built on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset that has 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The smartphone runs on Zen UI 3.0 atop Android 6.0, which is upgradeable to Android 7.0 Nougat. The 5.5-inch Full HD display is an AMOLED unit, which is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is powered by a 5000mAh battery capable of fast charging.
The smartphone will be available in black and silver variants. It will be sold exclusively on Flipkart.
