The unique Apple's feature coming to three iPhones this year

Three iPhone models this year to share the same design aesthetic as the current iPhone X.

Apple has invested in a Korean electric components maker LG Innotek to secure a stable supply of 3D sensing modules for iPhones and iPads this year. This sensing module enables a mobile device to capture 3-D data and recognize a user even in a dark environment, which is a key component of iPhone X’s facial recognition.

Apple is expected to launch three iPhone models this year, all with the same design aesthetic as the current iPhone X. These three phones are rumoured to feature the new Face-ID feature using these LG Innotek components. This decision was taken by Apple since the sales of iPhone X have been affected last year due to the lesser production of Face-ID modules.

Apple taking control this stock of hardware elements is a smart move that helps limit the competition’s options, ensures a smoother supply of stock during manufacturing, and enhances the unique feature of FaceID to the consumer.
