Did you know? Apple iPhone X has two batteries inside

Apple has used two different batteries that are connected to each other and power different capabilities of the iPhone X.

The iPhone X has been the talk of the town ever since it was launched, and event though it’s hefty, one Chinese user decided to teardown the whole thing on his own.

The video you see below shows an iPhone X dismantled piece by piece, revealing some fascinating information about the new flagship. The most talked about thing of them all is the battery. Corroborating previous rumours, Apple used an L-shaped battery under the hood.

What’s more interesting is that the company has used two different batteries that are connected to each other and power different capabilities of the iPhone X. The batteries inside total 10.35wH / 3.81V which converts to 2716.5mAh, so the iPhone X does feature increased capacity as compared to the iPhone 8 Plus, which is fuelled by a 2691mAh battery.

The actual performance of the battery configuration will probably be determined in the coming days as more people start using the device, but the company claims that the super flagship can last “last up to 2 hours longer than iPhone 7,” which means it can offer up to 21 hours of talk time, a maximum of 12 hours of Internet use, and up to 13 hours of video playback.

The iPhone X also comes with fast charging feature that claims to offer up to 50 per cent juice in 30 minutes, as well as wireless charging capabilities using the Qi chargers.
