All the Nokia-branded smartphones will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

Nokia could reportedly release three Android-powered smartphones--Nokia 6, 5 and 3, in second week of June in the Indian market.

Nokia had revealed that it would be bring the three Android-powered smartphones in the second quarter (May-June) of 2017 in India, but never confirmed their release date for the market. A new report by a National Daily suggests that the trio Nokia models could be released in the country on June 13. According to the report, Nokia is preparing to launch three Android-powered handsets in India and will release ‘Save the dates’ teaser, inviting media houses, on/around June 8.

Nokia unveiled Nokia 6, 5 and 3 along with a revamped version of the iconic Nokia 3310 at the Mobile World Conference (MWC) in late February.

HMD Global, a Finnish manufacturer with the exclusive rights to market the Nokia brand, begun selling the Nokia 3310 (2017) in India last month at Rs 3,310, while it is yet to release the other three Nokia smartphones in the country.

All three Android-powered smartphones fall in the mid-range category.

In its new offering, HMD rolled out a limited edition glossy Arte Black variant, which will come with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option. The Nokia 6 will be available for €229 (approx. Rs 16,000).

All the Nokia-branded smartphones will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

The Nokia 3310 was well known among mobile users worldwide and the Finnish start-up HMD Global played Nokia 3310 (2017) as its ace card against all the smartphone vendors to gain a foothold in the market. But the release of Nokia 6, 5 and 3 under the Nokia brand will actually determine the success of the firm behind the project.
