Nokia 3310 design leaked ahead of MWC 2017

The new design is slated to follow the similar 3310 classic structure with physical buttons and a color screen

Once the biggest mobile phone manufacturer in the world, Nokia had fallen on hard times after they made a decision to steer clear of Android in the favour of Windows Phone.

However, Nokia is now coming back and are all set to release Android powered smartphones, and they are about to revive one of the most iconic phones ever to hit the market.

HMD Global, the Finnish company along with Nokia is all set unveil the 2017 refresh of the iconic 3310 at MWC 2017 in Barcelona and this has sent the whole tech arena in a frenzy even though the 3310 was just a basic feature phone.

One of the largest selling phones in the world, the phone is also associated with the moniker of “The Tank”, for its legendary build quality.

While as of now, HMD or Nokia have not revealed any details but a new report has shed some light on the heavily anticipated device.

First, the 3310 will remain a feature phone and will not be running Android in any way. Secondly, the design of the smartphone will not be too much of a radical departure from the original device with the final device being thinner and lighter. Unlike the original phone with the black and white display, the refreshed model will sport a larger color display, but not a very high resolution one.

The device is also touted to be launched in multiple color variants such as red, yellow, and green. Reports state that the new device will be launched in India as early as May and called the phone “mind blowing and very beautiful”.
