Facebook Camera now gets a GIF camera

The social media is giving its users to express themselves more innovatively through GIFs, complete with Facebook's filters on them.

If you are a fan of the GIF format, then the headline must have excited you. GIFs are so cool – they convey a lot within a limited time in the most amusing ways. And what better way to express yourself on Facebook than using GIFs.

GIFs are the trend of the moment, with so many of them piling up on your timeline every single day. Facebook has cashed in on this, by creating the ability to post GIFs in comments and on timelines. To make it even better, it will now let you create your own GIF from the Facebook Camera.

According to a report from TNW, there’s a new icon on top of the camera interface beside the ‘Normal’ tab. The report mentions that users can create GIFs with all the filters and stickers that Facebook provides in its Camera. After that, they can send it as a message or share it on their timeline.

However, the report also mentions that the feature was only spotted on selected iOS based devices, which means that this will be an iOS-specific feature, with Android users looking at an uncertain launch date.
