EY, IBM launch next-gen Security Operation Centres

These SOCs are designed to detect, respond and address advanced cyber-attacks and risks encountered by organizations.

EY, a global professional services organization, strengthened its collaboration with IBM with the launch of advanced Security Operations Centre (SOCs) as part of its Managed Services offerings in India. Equipped with leading-edge NextGen Threat Detection capabilities and powered by IBM’s QRadar platform, these SOCs are designed to detect, respond and address advanced cyber-attacks and risks encountered by organizations today.

Given the rapid pace of digital disruption, it is important for organizations to not only maintain traditional security controls but also build or enhance their threat detection abilities. The next-gen SOCs will provide continuous real time monitoring and play a significant role in protecting an organization’s crown jewels with their in-built capabilities and resilience.

As cyberattacks grow in volume and complexity, these next-gen SOCs form a crucial part of EY’s Managed Services in India. These services not only provide internal and external threat intelligence but also offer active guidance on containment, eradication and remediation of possible risks.

According to EY’s Global Information Security Survey (GISS), 77% of Indian organizations, in 2018, are working beyond their cybersecurity essentials, and are rethinking their cybersecurity framework and architecture to support the business more effectively and efficiently. Indian organizations have matured and realize that addressing cyber risk, and building in cybersecurity from the start are imperative to succeed.
