Reliance Jio announces the most economical mobile data plan ever

Reliance disrupted the mobile industry when it first introduced its Jio network, offering free data and calling to its users. Recently the company announced its Prime membership offer that will enable users to avail unlimited data (1GB 4G data per data) on a monthly recharge of Rs 303.

Now Reliance has announced its other mobile data plan that seems like the most economical mobile data plan any telecom service provider has ever offered. The new plan will cost its users a mere amount of Rs 499 and it comes with 56GB of 4G data, free incoming and outgoing calls, free messages and unlimited data at lowered speed. Additionally, there will be no national roaming charges applied. The new Jio plan will cost less than Rs 10 per GB, but the plan is not FUP free.

All of this will cost a Jio user Rs 499 plus around Rs 9 per month for the Jio Prime membership. In comparison, other service providers offer 2-5GB of data for Rs 500, while charging users for calls and messages as well, meaning Reliance Jio is offering almost 10 times the data offered by other telecom networks.
