Netherlands-based start up Ockel Computers in partnership with Indiegogo and Microsoft recently raised over $250,000 in the course of their month-long campaign which backs a 6-inch full HD touchscreen mini PC called Sirius A.
The Ockel Sirius A, which is merely the size of an iPhone, comes with 4K and UHD support and is powered by an Intel Atom x7-8750 quad-core processor clocked at 1.66 GHz. The mini PC offers 4GB RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage with support for microSD card.
Furthermore, the device features a 3,000 mAh battery and numerous sensors such as accelerometer and gyroscope. Users get a blend of PC and smartphone experience with features such as a front-facing camera, speakers and a microphone.
The Ockel Sirius A is equipped with a full Windows 10 Home version (64-bit) which gives users a real desktop experience.
‘We have partnered up with Microsoft to develop a unique Switch Mode. Once you connect an external screen to the Ockel Sirius A, the Sirius A will automatically switch into an input device so you can use it as a keyboard or mouse. The connected screen becomes your primary monitor, so you can work comfortably,’ Ockel posted on their website. ‘Alternatively, you can connect an external mouse and/or keyboard by using one of the USB 3.0 ports or Bluetooth,’ Ockel added.
