Google has officially announced the shipping date for its new Daydream View virtual reality headset, controller and the experimental Cardboard viewer. These products are already available for pre-order on the Google Store.
Google’s Daydream headset is made out of a soft micro fibre that is light and comfortable. The headset further comes with a gyroscope-equipped controller which is designed to offer more natural movements for an enhanced gaming experience.
Initially, the Daydream experience will only be limited to Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. Several other manufacturers including HTC, LG, Xiaomi and Huawei will soon be releasing Daydream-compatible smartphones.
The Google Daydream View virtual reality headset is available in gray, snow white and crimson color options at a starting price of $79 in United States, Germany, Australia, United Kingdom and Canada from November 10 onward.
