TSTA Ranking tournament: Darshan is champ

Rohan and Aneesh too emerge winners in the U-14 and U-12 sections.

Chaitra Darshan Reddy, Rohan Kavali and K. Aneesh Reddy defeated their rivals comfortably to clinch the titles of the TSTA Ranking tournament in various categories played at Vishal Tennis Academy in Hyderabad.

Darshan defeated Aneesh Sharma 7-1 and took the trophy in the Under-10 years boys category by storm. It was a easy summit match to win for Darshan as Aneesh couldn’t handle the former’s continued pressure.

In the Under-10 girls category, Ika Raju also maintained an attacking momentum to win the trophy with ease as she cruised past Sreeja Mota 7-1. Ika proved too strong for Sreeja as the scoreline suggests and picked winners at will to seal the match with ease.

In the Under-12 boys category final too it was a cakewalk for Aneesh Reddy as he outclassed Sri Hari Dounde 7-1.

G. Shivani was the star in the U-12 girls section as she outclassed Sharanya Sagar M. with the scoreline reading 7-3.

Meanwhile in the U-14 boys section, Rohan Kavali clinched a comfortable 7-3 victory over M. Prathinav to lay his hands on the trophy

In the girls U-14 section, it was Sai Dhiti E. who went the extra mile and got a little luckier as she defeated Sharanya Sagar with a 7-6 (10-8) scoreline. It was a nail-biting clash in which Sai emerged champion.

U-12 boys: K. Aneesh Reddy bt Sri Hari Dounde 7-1. Girls: G. Shivani bt Sharanya Sagar M. 7-3.
U-14 boys: Rohan Kavali bt M.Prathinav 7-3. Girls: Sai Dhiti E. bt Sharanya Sagar M. 7-6 (10-8).
