Hyderabad: Local sailors Ananya Chouhan and Ananya Siwatch performed exceptionally well as they stood ahead of the pack in both the races of 420 Class on the opening day of the Secunderabad Sailing Club-Greenko Youth Open Regatta at Hussainsagar lake here on Sunday..
In the 420 Class, the toppers were followed by Sanjay Reddy and Ajay Yadav in the both the races. In Race 2 as well, Ananyas didn’t lose their position and secured the top honours.
In the Optimist Class, Raj Vishwakarma made the maximum use of wind conditions to finish on top followed by Dawood Qureishi and Shraddha Varma.
Meanwhile, in Race-2, Dawood Quireishi grabbed the top position while Ashish Vishwakarma and Shraddha Varma finished second and third respectively.
In Laser 4.7 Class, Mahesh B. and Ram Milan Yadav clinched the first positions in Race 1 and Race 2 respectively.
In Race 1, Ram Milan Yadav and Aniketh Rajaram claimed second and third places respectively while in Race 2 Aniketh improved his position and finished second. Krisha Mongia settled for the third place.
