Hyderabad: Hyderabad got off to an embarrassing start as they lost their first round match in the Senior Women’s One-Day cricket league to Andhra by 51 runs.

Chasing a lowly 176 in 50 overs, the hosts were skilled out for 125 in 38.2 overs as E. Padmaja snared 4 wickets while conceding 25 runs and Mallika Thalluri took 2 for 19. Earlier, V. M. Kavya returned with figures of 4 for 32 for Hyderabad.
In another match, Indian captain Mithali Raj hit an unbeaten 38 to guide Railways to a six-wicket win over Madhya Pradesh. Railways overhauled MP’s 150 in 45.4 overs.
