India colts lose despite Rana ton

The Rawlins-Fisher duo later combined in bowling to send top six Indian batsmen back to the pavilion inside 26 overs.

Mumbai: Haryana Ranji player Himanshu Rana played a lone hand with a 87-ball 101 but India U-19 team fell short by 23 runs against England in their first one-day at the Wankhede stadium here on Monday. The home side were bowled out for 233 in 42.5 overs while chasing 257.

Earlier, Bermuda-born Delray Rawlins scored an unbeaten 107 on debut to help England post 256/7 in 50 overs. They had to recover from a precarious position of 126/6. Ralwins shared a 116-run partnership for the seventh wicket with skipper Matthew Fisher (26).
