Watch: Jayant's no-ball costs India Warner's wicket, makes Kohli angry

David Warner (who was bowled off an illegal delivery by Jayant Yadav) and Matt Renshaw went on to put Australia in a commanding position.

Pune: India had the perfect opportunity to steal a march on Australia, half-way through the first session of Day 1 of the Pune Test, on Thursday, when spinner Jayant Yadav bowled opener David Warner round the stumps.

However, Jayant’s delivery was judged illegal by the umpire, who immediately signalled for no-ball, as the ball raced away to the fine leg boundary.

Warner and his opening partner later went on to put Australia in a commanding position ahead of lunch, posting an 82-run partnership.

India skipper Virat Kohli was visibly displeased with the proceedings, as the replays suggested that Jayant, who is a spinner, had overstepped his mark by a huge margin.
