Tendulkar, Laxman also involved in conflict of interest row?

Tendulkar is attached with the Mumbai Indians team whereas VVS Laxman is Sunrisers Hyderabad’s mentor.

Mumbai: Apart from Sourav Ganguly, former India cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman have been dragged into the conflict of interest relating to the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).

Sanjeev Gupta, a life member of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) has filed a complaint with the BCCI's ombudsman and ethics officer Justice DK Jain on April 17, saying that the duo were in violation of the BCCI's conflict of interest rules as they are a part of the BCCI's CAC (Cricket Advisory Committee) and are also involved with the IPL teams, sitting often in the team dugouts during matches.

The fact that Ganguly, who is attached with the Delhi Capitals as an adviser is also the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal( CAB) was brought to the notice of the ombudsman by three Bengal-based cricket fans and now the MPCA member.

The MPCA members have now also dragged Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman.

Tendulkar is attached with the Mumbai Indians team whereas VVS Laxman is Sunrisers Hyderabad’s mentor.

Sanjeev Gupta has also stated that Sunil Gavaskar was not allowed to do commentary when he was appointed as an interim president of the Indian cricket board.
