Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep picked for West Indies tour, Rohit, Jasprit Bumrah rested

Rohit Sharma, who is on a comeback trail from a thigh injury, has scored 181 runs from the first three CT matches, at an average of 60.33.

Mumbai: Star batsman Rohit Sharma, and ace limited overs death bowler Jasprit Bumrah were rested from India’s tour of West Indies, later this month.

The Indian selectors, on Thursday, to pick the squad for the tour of the Carribbean, which gets underway just five days after the end of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy.

The Team India cricketers have already made their way through to the semifinal of the Champions Trophy, defeating the likes of Pakistan and South Africa. Interestingly, the selectors made the announcement public on the same day when India face Bangladesh in the semifinal of the Champions Trophy.

Rohit Sharma, who is on a comeback trail from a thigh injury, has scored 181 runs from the first three Champions Trophy matches, at an average of 60.33.

Meanwhile, Bumrah has been instrumental with the ball for Team India, as the paceman has picked up only two wickets from the first three matches, but has kept things tight, with a miserly economy rate of 4.47.

Meanwhile, Delhi wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant and chinaman Kuldeep Yadav have been included in the squad, after stellar performances in the Indian Premier League.
