Deepak Choudhary of Rohit XI, Mohammed Afroz of Pasha Beedi CC and Apex CC’s Keshav dished out top notch performances in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s second division two-day league matches held at various grounds in the city.
In the match between Pasha Beedi CC and Apex CC, the former won by five runs. Pasha Beedi scored 270 with the help of Vishesh Sharma’s 58 and Srikar Reddy’s 45 runs but the bowling department turned it on. For Apex CC Keshav hit 100 in 202 balls, 11 of which raced to the boundary. However, that was not enough as Pasha Beedi bowler Mohammed Afroz took a five-wicket haul while giving away 80 runs in 22.5 overs to bowl the opposition out for 266. His teammate F. K. Mujtaba played supporting role by scalping four wickets.
In another match, Rohit XI with the help of Deepak Choudhary’s 5 for 14 bowled Sayi Satya for a lowly 126 to gain five points. Rohit XI set a target of 276 for Sayi Satya with the help of Yash Agarwal’s 74, Ajay Chowdhary’s 40 and Deepak Choudhary’s 53 runs.
