According to ‘Dawn’, “Waqar, when he met with the chairman (Shaharyar Khan), expressed his displeasure over the working of the national selectors and also voiced some complaints about Afridi.”

“The chairman will now also speak to Afridi about what Waqar had to say about the reasons for the team’s recent poor performances, more recently in the Asia Cup,” added the report.

Shahid Afridi was reportedly not pleased as the PCB chairman and coach discussed Salman Butt’s potential comeback to Pakistan’s T20 side in the without consulting Afridi.

The former Pakistan skipper, who was suspended for his involvement in match-fixing, recently resumed playing first class cricket.
