Watch: MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh smack net bowlers ahead of England ODIs

Dhoni and Yuvraj have not played competitive cricket for some time, which is why they will take part in the warm-up game against England.

Mumbai: With India preparing for the limited overs series against England, former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and batsman Yuvraj Singh were seen back in action, belting net bowlers all over the place.

Dhoni, who had retired from Test cricket back in 2014 and stepped down from India’s limited overs captaincy last week, has not played competitive cricket since the fifth and final ODI against New Zealand in October, last year.

Although Yuvraj was a part of the Indian squad for the ICC Wolrd T20 last year, he has also not been a part of the Indian ODI side since December 2013. The southpaw was picked for the England ODIs following his impressive performance in the ongoing Ranji Trophy season, where he scored 672 runs in five games before taking a break for preparations for his marriage with actor Hazel Keech.

Hence, to get ready for the battle against the Eoin Morgan-led England side both the cricketers are set to take part in a warm-up match between India A and England.

The two were seen practicing at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, on Monday evening. While Dhoni played a cracking hook against a medium pacer, Yuvraj danced down the track to a spinner, and smashed him miles into the air.
