Hyderabad: A brilliant unbeaten century by Divesh Singh and a five-for from D. Saisargvi helped Hyderabad gain an upperhand against Tamil Nadu on the second day of their Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy league match being played at Shimoga in Karnataka.
Riding on Divesh’s quickfire 101 from 131 balls, 18 of which were dispatched to the boundary, Hyderabad declared at 433/7. Then, led by Saisargvi, the bowlers got in the action and bundled out Tamil Nadu for a paltry 94 to enforce the follow-on.
Meanwhile in Surat, the Under 19 lads lost by 9 wickets to Gujarat in their Cooch Behar Trophy match.
