Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar never fails to impress his fans, be it on the field or off it. Though Sachin may not be entirely active in the sphere of cricket, the Master Blaster keeps his followers updated about his high-profile life on social media.

As the world embraced a new year on Monday, the 44-year-old took to Twitter to show a new avatar. The legendary batsman showed off his culinary skills on New Year’s Eve as he prepared barbecue chicken for friends and family.

“It was a pleasure to cook for my friends on New Year’s Eve. I am glad all of them enjoyed and are still licking their fingers. Hope you all had a great New Year’s Eve as well. Wishing you all a fantastic 2018. Stay blessed always,” Tendulkar captioned the tweet.

Previously, Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh also posted a picture from the party in Mumbai along with Sachin and Ajit Agarkar.

Ever since his playing days, Sachin has been a die-hard foodie that saw him try his hands on many dishes. The Indian team has enjoyed the opportunity of tasting his handmade dishes on quite a few occasions, with Sachin known to have learnt the skills from his mother.

The former India captain has a liking for seafood and never forgets to make a trip to his favourite restaurants in the country. Continuing his love for food, Sachin now owns a couple of restaurants to his name in India. Featuring his favourite cuisines from all around the globe, Sachin owns two food chains in Mumbai and has recently expanded his reach to Bangalore.
