MLA Jayaprakash Reddy complains to Sonia against Revanth

Step seen as final straw before reported switchover to TRS

Hyderabad: TPCC working president and MLA Turpu Jayaprakash Reddy on Monday lodged a complaint with AICC president Sonia Gandhi against TPCC president A Revanth Reddy for not being briefed about the Rachabanda programme at Erravalli in Siddipet district.

In his letter, Jayaprakash Reddy alleged that Revanth Reddy started avoiding some Congress leaders, who were being kept in the dark about party programmes.

A few days ago, Revanth Reddy conducted a meeting and discussed the paddy procurement issue. Later, he fixed his Rachabanda programme at the Chief Minister's farmhouse in Erravalli in Siddipet district. Revanth Reddy did not inform the Congress MLA about the event.

Jayaprakash Reddy stated that he had brought the issue to the notice of TPCC leader Mahesh Kumar Goud, who seemed helpless. He urged Sonia Gandhi to direct Revanth Reddy to change his style of functioning for the sake of the party.

The development has further strengthened rumours that Jagga Reddy, who was seen hobnobbing with K.T. Rama Rao recently, might seriously consider a switch-over to the ruling party.
