Cops busy with survey on AP politics

Survey commenced on November 23 and will continue till November 29.

Vijayawada: The AP government has instructed the state intelligence department to conduct a survey on changes to politics with the entry of Pawan Kalyan.

A specific questionnaire containing nine questions has been framed for this survey targeting all age groups. It will be monitored by Addle DG, Intelligence.

A sample size of 100 people from different age groups from each Assembly constituency is being used for the survey. For confidentiality, even the intelligence department is under cover.

For every Assembly constituency, 10 constables under the supervision of an sub-inspector from intelligence are working on this survey. This survey is being conducted at micro level covering every village and every community in the village.

The survey commenced on November 23 and will continue till November 29. Senior intelligence department officials are daily scrutinising the survey process and its results. According to intelligence officials, the results seem to be quite interesting.

Interestingly, the public are posing questions to the surveyors (intelligence officials) about who they are, what the survey is for and whether such a government survey confirms Pawan Kalyan’s growing political presence.

According to sources, the results till Sunday say that Pawan Kalyan has strong roots among Kapu, Balija and Vaddera communities but not in BC, SC ST communities.

Pawan Kalyan has stronger support in northern Andhra Pradesh than in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema. The full result would come out only after November 30.
