Vijayawada: TD National President Mr N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said a regional parties’ front will form the government at the centre in 2019.
Delivering the inaugural address at the first day of Mahandu, a three-day event, here on Sunday, Mr. Naidu lambasted the BJP led NDA government, for its betrayal politics. He said that TD has the capacity and calibre to change the political scenario of the country and reminded the gathering that TD founder Mr N.T Rama Rao was instrumental in forming non-Congress fronts at the centre.
Citing the importance of regional parties at the national level, Mr. Naidu emphasised on the need for unity amongst the regional parties, irrespective of their differences. He expressed his strong desire that regional parties play a vital role in the future of the country.
Mr Naidu dismissed the possibility of BJP coming to power again. “The BJP led NDA government is ignoring the secular fabric of the Constitution and going against the Muslims. This is harmful for the country,” Naidu said.
Mr Naidu also urged the party cadres and leaders to be careful about the “politics of conspiracies and betrayals of BJP and YSRC”. “You have to guard the State from the hands of BJP and YSRC as they are trying to disintegrate the harmony of the State,” he said.
