The CM has made retaining power a prestige issue in the upcoming polls.

Hyderabad: TRS cand caretaker CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao has directed all party candidates not to move out of their constituencies till the Assembly elections are over. In the wake of the proposed formation of a Grand Alliance led by Congress, the CM has made retaining power a prestige issue in the upcoming polls.

To give ample time to party candidates for election campaign, Mr Rao announced 105 candidates out of the total 119 immediately after the dissolution of the Assembly. He has directed all candidates to cover the entire constituency and meet each and every voter personally. He has been monitoring the campaign of party candidates in their respective constituencies. He is also getting feedback about the performance of candidates through his own sources.

According to sources, Mr Rao has directed some ministers also not to move from their own constituencies. Some ministers are touring in other constituencies and districts also. He feels this will create a problem in some constituencies and may lead to unnecessary controversies. Some ministers are trying to get a hold on the entire district.
