'Double engine' govt guarantees safety and prosperity, says Yogi in Karnataka

BENGALURU: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday stated that only a double engine government can guarantee ‘safety’ as well as ‘prosperity’ with its concept of ‘Ek Bharat Shaskath Bharath’ (One India Strong India).

Addressing the gathering as part of his campaign in Mandya for the ensuing Assembly elections in Karnataka, Yogi cited Uttar Pradesh as an example of success of a double engine government, and said that not even a single curfew was imposed and not a single incident of violence was witnessed in Uttar Pradesh in the last six years. He also credited the 'double engine' government for it and said that initiating developments works was faster due to the same.

“We get to see development in all fields owing to a double engine government and we believe in empowerment," said Adityanath and stated that the country is emerging as a force to reckon with.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making the Indian economy as the world’s fifth largest economy. Under Modi, he said, India is leading the G20 nations.

Under Modi as its captain, he said, a team India is working in the country and wanted more players from Karnataka asking the voters to elect more number of MLAs to strengthen the hands of Narendra Modi.

Criticising the Congress rule in the country, the UP CM said, projects initiated under the Congress rule got completed only under five-year plans but under Modi, a project gets both foundation and inauguration done. “Now we get to see works on railways, airports, IIMs, IITs, It cities among others,” he added

He said that providing reservation to Muslims in Karnataka on the basis of religion was “unconstitutional’ and added that the BJP government has provided reservation for the needy people.

Adityanath also said that Ram Temple at Ayodhya is getting ready and would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January 2024.
