Alliance parties to get ready with PR material

The CPI with a committed nation-wide cadre is working out a targeted message to reach its cadre through party organs as soon as possible.

Hyderabad: As a common minimum programme of the Mahakutami, a grand alliance of the Congress, TD, Telangana Jana Samiti, and CPI, is getting delayed, restive parties are resorting to their own publicity channels to keep their supporters committed to them.

Lanka Dinakar, publicity head of the TD, said that the election publicity cell was meeting on Tuesday to take a final call on the scope of publicity as a constituent of the grand alliance.

The CPI with a committed nation-wide cadre is working out a targeted message to reach its cadre through party organs as soon as possible.

TD TS president L. Ramana said as part of the grand alliance we will go by the broad contours of the alliance. We are hopeful that the TD will get its share of seats within the framework. Nobody from our party needs to be upset with such an arrangement, he said.

As the common minimum program is getting delayed, some inputs have been gathered from constituent parties of the alliance to study the power shortage situation in the state and make it a poll issue. Telangana is seeing an average demand of 10,500 MW for the past three months.

Congress senior leader S. Jaipal Reddy pointed out that the state did not focus on additional generation of power but was only buying from other sources at exorbitant rates.
