Cong. will split, BRS leaders will go to jail, BJP will form govt: MP Arvind

BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind on Sunday assured to reopen Nizam Sugar Factory (NSF) if seven BJP candidates are elected as MLAs from the erstwhile undivided Nizamabad district.

“The Congress and the BRS are responsible for the closure of decades-old sugar factory. We will bring previous glory to the NSF, sugarcane farmers and factory workers,” he said.

Speaking while undertaking party activities in Bodhan and Dichpally on Sunday, he said that the BJP-led governments in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra reopened several sugar factories. “There is a policy for revival of sugar factories. Cultivation of sugarcane has become beneficial in terms of sugar, brown sugar, molasses and ethanol,” he said.

The MP also called upon the people to question BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha over a promise of reopening the sugar factory within 100 days. “Congress and BRS are same… history proved that Congress MLAs jump to BRS. Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the people of Telangana to give him a chance for five years to change the face of Telangana,” he said.

He said that the National Turmeric Board will boost the price of produce and improve exports.

Predicting that the BJP would form the next government in the state, he said: “Congress will be split into four groups after the results of Assembly elections and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s family members will go to jail for their corrupt practices. In view of this, BJP will definitely form the government,” he said.

Arvind, alleging that Hindu names for roads and colonies were changed in Bodhan town, said the community must mobilise in the Assembly elections.

At the meeting, the MP also tore copies of the BRS election manifesto, in the presence of BJP district president Baswapuram Laxminarsaiah, senior leaders Medpati Prakash Reddy and V. Mohan Reddy, among others.
