Bhatti questions KTR's overseas business deals

Hyderabad: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday alleged that IT and industries minister K.T.Rama Rao, who travels to the United States and Dubai under the guise of bringing in investments, enters into deals and assigns the lands given to the poor to MNCs.

On the 59th day of his padayatra, Bhatti spoke to the media in Kondurg, Shadnagar constituency, demanding that the minister, who is currently in London to attract investments into Telangana, give an explanation to the people on the deals. Further, Bhatti demanded that the BRS government release a white paper detailing how many acres of land were taken back from the poor and who the end beneficiaries were.

He also questioned Somesh Kumar's appointment as Chief Adviser to Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao, asking what was the necessity of appointing him when he opted for voluntary retirement from service in Andhra Pradesh on health grounds, which he said casts doubt on the BRS government's motive in appointing him. He alleged that Somesh Kumar was instrumental in bringing Dharani portal, gathering details about jagirdar lands, assigned and other category lands, and listing them in part B as disputed lands, facilitating their acquisition by leaders of the ruling party.
