Kalaburagi: Taking exception to the ‘vindictive politics’ allegedly being practiced by CM B.S. Yediyurappa, Sharangouda Kandakur, Secretary General of State Yuva Janata Dal, asserted that he would not be cowed down by such acts.

Mr Sharangouda, who is the son of Gurmitkal JD(S) MLA Nagangouda Kandakur, was leading a rally of JD(S) workers in Yadagir against Mr Yediyurappa's action of ordering withdrawal of Rs 4.5 crore grants sanctioned to Gurmitkal by the Kumaraswamy government.

Mr Sharangouda had recorded a purported conversation that took place on February 7 between him and Mr Yediyurappa where Mr Yediyurappa reportedly asked his father to switch from JD(S) to BJP. “Mr Yediyurappa’s survival is in my hands,” he said.
