Naidu Writes to President and PM Seeking Intervention in AP

Vijayawada: Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has sought intervention of President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi into the prevailing “extreme conditions” in Andhra Pradesh. In separate letters to them, Naidu alleged that anarchy was prevailing in AP.

“Jagan Reddy unleashed a 'governance of destruction' by demolishing the 'Praja Vedika' soon after coming to power in 2019. He is misusing public money in fighting frivolous cases in court on the Amaravati issues. The bureaucrats are facing the highest number of contempt cases due to utter disregard displayed by Jagan Reddy as CM,” the former chief minister alleged.

These apart, the then state election commissioner (SEC) and the chairperson of the Public Service Commission have been hounded, following which the SEC approached the Centre for security three years ago. Jagan made attempts to undermine the whole electoral process and is forcing the 'volunteers' to resort to illegal jobs, the TD chief stated in his letters.

He also alleged that the CM has appointed a non-believer of Hindu traditions as chairman of the Trust Board of the TTD and did away with the tradition of non-Hindus submitting a declaration that was mandatory before darshan at the Lord Venkateswara shrine.
“Over 250 incidents of attacks on Hindu temples have been reported in the past four years while properties belonging to Wakf Board and churches are also being encroached upon.”

Naidu also alleged that during his recent visit to various places, Jagan Reddy orchestrated a murderous attack on him by goons. Even on August 10, Jagan declared to deprive me of my security, “displaying his utter contempt of the high court order that had restored my security.”
