Hyderabad: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka criticised district minister G. Jagadish Reddy and Legislative Council chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy for the long-pending SLBC tunnel project and Dindi Lift Irrigation projects.
Bhatti Vikramarka accused BRS leaders of avoiding his questions and resorting to demeaning criticism instead.
“BRS leaders have no answer to my pertinent questions and chose to indulge in demeaning criticism. They frittered away their time without giving water to the people of Nalgonda,” Bhatti said at a media conference at Gurrampodu in Nagarjunasagar of Nalgonda district on Monday.
He challenged them to a debate on the issue and questioned Sukhender Reddy's remarks about resigning if water was not provided to Nalgonda district during the tenure of former chief minister N. Chadrababu Naidu.
Bhatti Vikramarka also raised concerns about the delayed completion of the SLBC project and other irrigation projects. He criticised the state government for borrowing significant funds without achieving any substantial irrigation outcomes. Bhatti further highlighted the delayed Yadadri power plant and demanded an explanation on the BRS government's power projects and their effectiveness.
