Vijayawada: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Andhra Pradesh on last Sunday seems to have infused much needed ‘josh’ among the state BJP cadre.
In a no holds barred attack, Modi ripped apart TD supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu and his minister son Nara Lokesh during the public meeting held in Guntur.
Fresh from Modi’s visit to Andhra Pradesh, the BJP state unit has increased its attack on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, especially on the virtual world through social media platforms such as Twitter. They created a hashtag #LiarBabu and has been carrying Naidu’s flip-flops on various issues ranging from demonetisation, Congress, Special Category Status etc. The #LiarBabu has been trending since the last two days.
Specially designed animated flyers and short clips are being used to mock Naidu. Modi too mocked Naidu for his seniority barbs.
“Fear of PM @Narendra-Modi got the most bitter enemies to come together, first in Bihar, then in Uttar Pradesh, and now in Andhra Pradesh #LiarBabu @ncbn is talking of joining hands with Jagan Mohan Reddy. They don’t call them 'mahamilavat gang' just like that!! ?? ?? ????? ??!!” (sic) said a Twitter user.
‘U-TURN babu Different statements @ncbn in different years on Shri @narendramodi #LiarBabu’ said that BJP Andhra Pradesh Twitter handle has been giving out Naidu’s statements on Modi in May and June of 2017 and then in December 2018, after snapping ties with the BJP led NDA.
Another Twitter user said: “Chandra Babu and his different stand on Special Status 2-06-2015 : State won’t see development with special status. 25-08-2015: Special Status is not a Sanjeevani ( He said after meeting PM) 12-08-2015: Status won’t achieve everything for the state. #LiarBabu”.
Another tweet read: “@ncbn you were born in a poor, agricultural family. How did you become the richest CM of India? If after taking birth in a poor family you can accumulate wealth of Rs 177 crore, Modi after being the CM for 12 yrs & PM for 5 yrs can surely wear respectable clothes. No #LiarBabu ?” (sic)
“Chandrababu Naidu has successfully managed to sell snake oil to many ppl online and aam janta in Andhra. He has taken more u turns than our Delhi street thug CM. This short video exposes #LiarBabu in style,” said another user.
