TRS tagline: Fir Ek Bhar KCR'

Mr Rama Rao sought to put at rest all speculation over who would be the CM if the TRS won the election.

Hyderabad: The TRS’ election’s tagline would be ‘Fir Ek Bhar KCR (KCR again)’, caretaker minister K.T. Rama Rao told mediapersons here on Thusday. With the tagline, Mr Rama Rao sought to put at rest all speculation over who would be the CM if the TRS won the election.

Speaking to mediapersons at Vemulawada, Mr Rama Rao said welfare of the poor and Telangana development would the themes of TRS manifesto.

He said the TRS was in power only for three years in the last four-and-a-half years, as nine months had gone for allocation of IAS and IPS officials and dealing with the “non-cooperation” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party had come to the electorate nine months early.

He took a dig at the Congress’ delay in finalising its nominees, and said that the TRS would be distributing sweets before the Congress distributed seats.

Earlier, speaking at several places in Sircilla, Mr Rama Rao said the TRS government had concentrated on development whereas the Congress was going to court “with thumb impressions of dead people” to stop work.

He said the Congress had no leader and the TD no cadre. The two parties had joined hands to remove Mr Chandrasekhar Rao from power, he said.

He warned BJP leaders against making baseless allegations. Mr Ram Rao said the BJP had merged seven mandals of the state with AP, costing it the 280-MW Sileru power plant.
