HYDERABAD: Former TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy addressed the state-level Congress ex-servicemen department office-bearers meeting in Gandhi Bhavan on Monday.
Addressing the gathering, Reddy, a former IAF officer, said, “I am proud to have served as a soldier for the country and proud to be a Congress soldier now.” He said, “We should continuously fight for the welfare of ex-servicemen and strive to strengthen the ex-servicemen department of the Congress.”
He said that he had raised several issues pertaining to the welfare of ex-servicemen in Parliament. “The Agnipath scheme introduced by the Modi government is detrimental to national security,” Uttam Kumar Reddy said.
