PM Modi, Nadda and Shah will keep visiting regularly

HYDERABAD: Telangana will be a regular destination in the itineraries of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah, and BJP president J.P. Nadda over the next few months, with the BJP declaring that it is determined to come to power in the state.

The ‘Big 3’ of the BJP will be travelling to all the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state which, between them, encompass the 119 Assembly segments, and address public meetings to push the party’s line of ‘vote BJP to get rid of corrupt KCR family rule’. The Prime Minister’s visits will be for starting more development projects in the state being taken up by the Centre.

The party is hoping that it can hold a public meeting by Shah in Khammam on July 29; his scheduled event on June 15 was cancelled as he was monitoring the situation when Cyclone Biparjoy hit Gujarat.

BJP’s Rajya Sabha member and the party’s National OBC Morcha chairman Dr K. Laxman told reporters that the people were “fed up with the KCR government, the family rule, and the corruption, a fact the Chief Minister acknowledged saying his ruling party members are siphoning off 30 per cent commissions from Dalit Bandhu beneficiaries.”

The last nine years have seen Telangana emerge as the centre for corruption, and “KCR government’s failure to keep its promises including waiving farm loans,” he said.
