People will revolt, Jagan tells Chandrababu Naidu

Jagan said that development was \"confined to flexi boards and banners\".

Anantapur: YSRC chief and Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday alleged that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was indulging in "anti-democratic policies" and "deceitful politics" by provoking party activists to physically attack on YSRC cadres.

"The day is not long when people will revolt and chase you (Mr Naidu) out of power if you don't mend your ways," Jagan said, after attempts to obstruction the fifth phase of his Rythu Bharosa Yatra in Anantapur district.

The YSRC staged a maha dharna at Ambedkar circle to protest the alleged series of attacks and harassment of YSRC cadres by TD leaders with the help of police.

Mr Reddy, addressing a mammoth gathering at the ground near Ambedkar statue, condemned the attacks by TD workers on YSRC leaders and cadres and said it was "clear evidence" of Mr Naidu's "murder politics".

Mr Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister had failed people in all fronts, including providing employment, waiving farmers' loans, taking up issues of women's welfare and even irrigation projects during his tenure. He alleged that Mr Naidu had "grossly failed" in administration and compromised on the state's interests with the neighbouring Telangana and the Centre, the Opposition leader claimed.

Jagan said that development was "confined to flexi boards and banners". More than 80 farmers and 14 handloom weavers had committed suicide in the last two years, he said.

"You are buying our party MLAs with your corrupt money, but they can't help you when people revolt," he said. He asked the Chief Minister to concentrate on people's welfare and state's development instead of "murky politics".

Rajampeta MP Mithun Reddy, MLA Visweswar Reddy and others participated in the meeting.
