Vikekananda Reddy complaints against bogus voters

Kadapa SP Rahuldev Sharma said investigation had begun based on the complaint by the YSRC leader.

Anantapur: YSRC leader and former minister Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy lodged a complaint against the fake applicants of TD who applied on Form 7 to Election Commission seeking to remove his name from the voters list at Pulivendula town in Kadapa district.

Mr Vivekananda Reddy who is the uncle of the YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy and is also incharge of Pulivendula constituency, noticed that unidentified persons had applied on Form 7 mentioning that his name be deleted from the voters list.

“Telugu Desam, afraid of defeat, had hatched a plan and was deleting names of YSRC leaders and cadres from voters lists across the state,” he said and also expressed shock that his name had been deleted.

Mr Reddy lodged a complaint with Pulivendula police on Monday. He demanded a thorough investigation to nab that main culprits led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s son Lokesh. Urban police registered a case based on the complaint.

Kadapa SP Rahuldev Sharma said investigation had begun based on the complaint by the YSRC leader.

“Anyone can approach the police if they notice a conspiracy to delete names of voters from the list,” Kadapa SP said.
