KAKINADA: Telugu Desam Politburo member and former finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has said the rural economy is being ruined by the present YSRC government in AP.
“It has ruined the village and agriculture economy and the farmers are facing a lot of difficulties,” he said.
He was addressing a meeting as part of the Telugu Desam Bus Yatra that proclaims, ‘Telugu Desam is the future of AP’. The Yatra started its journey in the Jaggampeta constituency on Sunday.
Yanamala said the TD aimed at bringing agriculture as a profitable endeavour and hence implemented the MS Swaminathan Commission’s recommendations in AP. “However, Jagan Reddy destroyed the state’s dairy units and he brought in the Amul Dairy.”
He said the TD prepared the mini-manifesto for the welfare of the people. He called upon the people to make Chandrababu Naidu the chief minister if the state is to be developed.
Former MLA Jyothula Nehru, TD Kakinada district president Jyothula Naveen, Rajamahendravaram Rural MLA GB Chowdary, Peddapuram MLA China Rajappa and others were present.
